Few Words

I’m a woman of few words tonight. My days this week are filled with filling orders and getting ready for the ONE LOVE ARTS FESTIVAL at Church of the New Covenant in Doraville. It’s Sat. Feb 4th! Time is getting close!

Missed the midnight hour again. Oh well!

One Love Banner

Here’s the ON LOVE ART FESTIVAL that is in front of the Church of the New Covenant.

The way the light is shinning on the banner, it looks like the love of God pouring down on our festival!

Come one, come all next Saturday to see and buy all sorts of fine art and crafts!

Gearing up for ONE LOVE

It’s one week and counting until the ONE LOVE ART SHOW at Church of the New Covenant. I’ve got all kinds of new, cool stuff to sell.

The excitement is mounting!

My First Show, 1975

It’s been 37 years since I first showed my fiber art at Wellston’s Split Rail Fair in Warner Robins. I came upon these flyers when I cleaned out the garage last summer.
When me and my Daddy drove into the festival grounds, I said to myself “whatever it takes, I want this to be my life”
For the most part, I have honored that vow.

Wow, I’m a lucky girl!

Most Precious Gift

My dear friend Karron gave a her mother’s Knitting Reference Book . I am OVERWHELMED with gratitude that Karron would honor me in this way.

Here is what Karron wrote in the book.

“This book belonged to Karrol MacKert. With this book Karrol made many wonderful sweaters, blankets, socks and jackets for her entire family, and for her grandchildren. Karrol can no longer remember those days, though we all will remember them for her.”

Karron, I am moved beyond words that you gave this book to me.

I love you,

Missed the Midnight Hour

My New Years Resolution was to write a blog post everyday. One other day, I posted after midnight so it appears as if I missed a day. This is the second time that happened.

I was about to go to bed at 10:00, but a friend persuaded me to work just one more hour. One hour turned into two and now I have a lot to show for the day!

Light at the end of the tunnel is being to show itself!

Ordinary Day

I have grown to love ordinary days. There is something extraordinary about an ordinary day!

A day filled with art is always extraordinary!

Sharing with Hallie

Hallie Edwards and I are going to be sharing a booth at a to-be-announced art show this spring. I’ll let you know which one it is as soon as it’s official!

Hallie is a wonderful artist and a long time childhood friend. I feel honored to have her as a booth mate. Hallie is someone I can talk about old times with, as well as make BIG plans for the future!

Looking Forward

It was great to get back to Church of the New Covenant today. It’ been over a month since I’ve been there!

Everyone is all buzzing about the ONE LOVE art show that is Feb. 4 in the fellowship hall. There will be all kinds of artist goodies to look at and buy.

Also, there are still spaces available if you are interested in selling your handmade creations. For more info contact Karron at tisiuc@charter.net.
